For a program that has not gone through a coaching change, MD seems about typical. Most of your losses are guys that didn’t really crack the depth chart, but there’s still that handful of guys you hate to lose who either got a NIL offer MD can’t beat and/or they’re ready for a change of scenery.

Terrible O-line certainly didn't help, but it seemed to me like he lost a step each year.  Which probably is wrong and just my eyes lying to me but he never seemed to show the same burst after his first year.
