I don't have an issue with secondary depth but if we continue to give opposing QBs 3 to 5 business days to throw the football, it doesn't matter who we have on the back end.

Any chance they are thinking of him as a possibility to slide to safety? Fairly common move for older CB. I'd prefer a real safety, but maybe they can improved play there via unorthodox routes.

Think he's been a healthy scratch for the past month. Can't find him on an injury report, but he hasn't played since Week 4. He was coming back from an achilles injury that ended his 2023, but he returned in time for the season opener.

Not good. Was so cheap that I knew there had to be some real issues. We will see. We prob were in on Lattimore and had to pivot.

Id think that would be tough not only in the middle of the season but coming to a new team. But you never know

They gave up a 3rd, 4th, and 6th (got back a 5th) to get him though. I don't think CB was a big enough need to pay that price. I'd pay it for a similar impact at DE/OLB or FS.

Is he still good?
Not really. He's probably better than JAD and Maulet.
I wonder if Maulet gets cut now. He's looked like complete ass in his 2 games back and his PFF grade is worse than White's.

I think their coverage has been pretty sticky in man. Both Wiggins and Stephens are usually right with their guy, just Stephens especially gives up covered catches because he can't play the ball at all.I'll be happy if he can at least stay in the same zipcode with a receiver. Its been that bad.
Zone coverage has seemed to be the bigger problem and the reason for so many of the chunk plays. Not sure if stats back that up, but that's my observation.

I think your observation is pretty accurate. Stephens has especially been exposed this year and you're right, he just never can track the ball. Always has his back to it. It's surprising he hasn't gotten more PI calls. Outside of Hamilton, I think they've all regressed this year and a lack of consistent pass rush has exacerbated the problem.
