Thursday nights can add more variance, but at least we're at home. Think this will be a crazy shootout, hope we get the ball last. Wonder if Higgins will play, he'd be a big loss for Cincy if unavailable.

I don't know the stats on it, but I don't ever remember the Ravens losing a Thursday night game at home.  Certainly not in the last 15 years.

I'm with you on that.  The NFL is driven by over exposing their product.  Thanksgiving was special because it was the only time you had Thursday games.

I think it's an atrocity for the players and the games are almost always worse, but it's so much easier for me to get time to watch a primetime game than Sunday afternoon so I like that part.

The only one I can recall was in Billick's first season, they got hammered by the Chiefs. No idea why that game sticks in my mind, but I remember tuning in to watch thinking maybe they had turned a corner with the new coach and being deflated by the 4th Qtr. I specifically remember Stoney Case threw two Pick-6s and got benched for Tony Banks. If memory serves, they ended up playing really well after that game....won something like 6 of their next 8.

 

At the same time, the game at Tampa Bay a couple years ago is the only time I can ever recall them winning on the road on a Thursday.

I think we'll hold them to fewer than last time.  Thursday Night and they're likely missing Higgins.  Defense has shown the same sloppiness that Cincy took advantage of at times in the weeks since, but also has had a couple somewhat more encouraging performances.  

 

I think Lamar and co very well may need to get 30, but "40 or we lose" is too defeatist.  Though its certainly plausible that Cincy gets to upper 30s again.

Hope your right.  Defense started pretty bad yesterday but greatly improved throughout the game so that's encouraging.  But Burrow/Chase are much better than Nix/Anyone.
