Love it. Hate it for my dynasty team, but love it for the offense.

Apparently he's elite at separation, so that's always nice. Hope he can catch the ball.
Like I said in the other thread, Carolina's 6th may not be very different than our 5th, so it's really cheap. Also Jeff Z said the Panthers are paying salary so we only owe ~625k. Seems like a steal.

Can he play corner, or rush the passer?

Right now there's an 18 spot difference between the picks. Good move but now we need to help the defense.

Plenty of bullets left to help the defense, too.

Gonna be Comp 5 picks in between the rounds as well. Last year there were 7 5th round comps. Still, seems like a cheap price for an upgrade over Agholor and more depth.

He absolutely is - great separator. The great Matt Harmon of Reception Perception loves him. You saw it, too, in Carolina when Dalton took over for Bryce. He averaged 10.75 targets in the 4 games Dalton started. ADOT pretty low, but he's always open.

Hated it before I heard the price. He's basically free.
Kinda surprised you hated it, TBH.

I would want them to trade for pass rush or O-line, but if they're going to give away a credible receiver for almost nothing I won't complain.

I agree with you here, if we were paying him what he's owed (all of our cap) and paid a 5th or something I'd think it's a waste, but he's basically free and doesn't stop them from doing something else.

They're paying down 3million in cap too. We're paying him the vet minimum in cap. Insanely low cost for the Ravens.
We recoup the entire value of the trade in comp pick if he gets us a 5th round pick or more.

Interesting move. My first thought is that Bateman should be seriously thinking about where he might want to play next year. This feels like a big reaction to his game on Sunday. The camera's showed Jackson really pissed about him dropping an easy pass.
Other initial thought is how historically WRs have not done much after Pittsburgh let them go. They all never seem to live up to what they were in Pittsburgh. He is fast and gets separation, he's also injured a lot and has had drop problems. He was just inactive on Sunday with rib issues.
But the price made it impossible to say no. The Ravens are practically getting him for free. And for him, if he does well it will only drive his price up in free agency this offseason. Plus, they keep him off of KCs roster and that might be the biggest reason to do it.
It doesn't move the needle much, imo, but it also is so low risk that it pays dividends eve if he only has one big game.

That said, adding him to the mix for basically nothing and potentially getting a comp pick on the back end... more shrewd EDC maneuvering...
