Storm looks like it will make landfall just south of Tampa... St. Pete, Sarasota.
Whole region including into Orlando going to take a hit.
Surge is going to be crazy.
Hurricane Helene damage debris not fully picked up...going to be lots of flying projectiles.
Went to school for a year north of Tampa. Good memories. Still know a lot of people down there. Wishing them and the region the best.

Yeah, I've got multiple close friends down there, including one who is pretty high up on the Orioles medical staff. I think they're all staying put, which I don't love, but not my call obviously.

Lived through it with my house only losing a small but of shingles, and a couple of screens on my pool cage. Very lucky as the wind sounded like a freaking freight train for 8 straight hours. Scary as hell!
