I guess Amari Cooper would have been in play if they weren't a divisional opponent.

But oh well, we're not playing the Bills until the playoffs so I'm fine with that.  I think at this point we need a safety more, especially if we think Marcus Williams is finished.  We could also use a replacement for Eddie Jackson - he looks cooked.

Ardraius Washington should be cutting into Jackson's playing time. I think we're stuck playing Williams. Shame he wasn't cuttable and we could've found a way to keep Stone.

Another WR is also a luxury with the way Zay and Bateman are playing. You've also got Andrews stepping up and Likely playing at a high level. Four very good receiving options in an offense built around running the ball.

I'd much rather them look for upgrades on the OL than had they gone after Adams or Cooper or whoever.

Wouldn't have taken the cap hit on Adams, but would have considered matching the offer of a 3rd for Cooper.  Browns converted all his salary to bonus this year, so you'd only owe him the prorated minimum against the cap and you probably get a 4th round comp pick in '26 when he signs elsewhere this offseason (even 3rd tier WR get big enough deals to rate, something like $11-12M probably gets a 4th).

Agree that it's a luxury we probably don't need, but at that low of a cost and no cap implication, I think it'd have been worth the squeeze to upgrade on Agholor.

I feel like the Browns wouldn't have been too keen on trading him in division.  Could be mistaken there.

I didn't think the Ravens had the cap space to add Adams.  I knew Cooper was unhappy in Cleveland (who isn't?) but I did not see him going to the Bills.  That's a huge upgrade for them.  I guess the best thing about the Cooper trade for the rest of the AFC is that he didn't go to KC.  I think the Jets have other problems that start with Rogers being pretty well into his decline so I don't buy the inevitable media SB buzz now that the Adams trade is complete.

Cooper would have been a nice addition by the Ravens but realistically there was no way Cleveland would have traded him to Baltimore.  They are trying to hold back a fan revolt over the Watson fiasco and trading an asset to Baltimore would have sent the fan base into a meltdown.  The Ravens would have had to way overpay to bring him here and that's something they just don't do.

Hopefully this deal sparks the Jets to a nice win at Heinz Field on Sunday night.

Yeah that's possible. He's a pending FA so it's not as big of an issue as someone on a longer deal, but could be a factor.
