There is no Steinbrenner-Martin dynamic anymore. Managers dont get fired after 1 year unless there is something really bad that happens. So no youre not going to have a manager every year.

Its hilarious though how some people feel the manager doesnt have to be accountable for anything. The FO is the one controlling all the aspects of the job. Or its always the injuries. Or its always the players. Must be nice to be paid so much money to be completely along for the ride.

You're literally describing your attitude toward Harbaugh after 17 seasons.  Hyde's in his 3rd season with an actual MLB caliber team.

Harbaugh is a leader of men. Hyde isnt. Its really that simple. All of this is apparent and obvious and Ill be proven right. Harbaugh has a real chance of wearing a HOF jacket from Canton one day. Hyde wont even make the incredibly easy honor of being in the Os HOF

Great.  Shame that being a "leader of men" led to a sloppy performance in the AFC championship.  But that's everyone else's fault I'm sure.

Ill tell you what. When Hyde makes 4 ALCS we can talk. WOnt even play the ultimate trump card of winning a WS. Just has to make 4 Championship series appearances. Hell, lets lower the bar further. Makes 4 Division Series appearances. He has 1. I suspect we will never have this conversation though.

Again great.  Harbaugh's been to one AFC Championship since the 2012 season.  That's double Hyde's tenure as manager and his first 3 seasons were with an AAA+ roster.  Does he deserve to be HC for life because of early success and a SB 12 years ago?

The point I'm making is that you wanted Hyde gone last year and have continued your agenda this season even when they were playing well.  Yet Harbaugh's in year 17 with the same problems year after year, but us Ravens fans are entitled and shortsighted for questioning him.

If I was calling the shots, I'd give Hyde 2025 and barring a SB appearance, would part ways with Harbaugh.

Hyde will never manager a 17th year in MLB.. Let alone win at a clip over .600.  Thats my point. There may come a point where Harbs needs to go just because like Reid in Philly. We arent there yet. But Im not gonna sit here and continue any comparisions between the two. Its silly.

If Hyde was fired after this season does anyone thing hes getting another big league job. I guess its possible but I would bet against it.

I think any team in the early/middle phases of its rebuild who saw someone go from 100 losses to 100 wins in two seasons would certainly pick up the phone. Would seem pretty reasonable that someone like the Pirates would consider him an interesting option and if the A's want a fresh face to handle their weird Sacramento phase I'm sure he'd be on the shortlist

There have been countless players in history who didn’t reach their potential (or even close) because of injury. Not their fault — but that qualifies as a bust.

Was Brien Taylor a bust?

The Orioles traded for Bradish who was considered a #4 guy, or a bullpen piece.  They turned him into a TOR guy.  Now he gets injured and got TJ.  If he can't comeback from that means he's a bust?  It's not like TJ  is uncommon given how hard pitchers throw these days.  And it's not like we traded much for him either.  We traded Bundy who put up 1.2 WAR the rest of his career.  Bradish has already put up a 6.2 WAR.

As for Grayson, he has improved in his 2nd season into a #3 starter with upside.  Even if that's all he's achieved that has value and I would not call that a bust.  Now if he turned into a back of the rotation starter, than I agree with you.  The problem is you're acting like he's some can't miss TOR prospect and he's not.  But he is a good pitcher and you have to like the direction he's heading.
