Ugh, Andre Roye down with an injury. Terps will now be down to their third-string LT.

Marcus Dumervil was thought to be a big pickup in the portal a couple years back, but hasn’t impressed at all in practice and has failed to even crack the two-deep. Hopefully he’s ready to make an impact.

Don't need Roye next week. Hopefully it's something where he would be fine with a week off.

Good second half performance from the offense after an ugly first half. Can’t afford to sleepwalk through half the game against anyone else on the schedule though (except maybe Villanova).

Villanova certainly won’t be an easy game. Ranked #5 in the latest FCS poll, and off to a 3-0 start to their season.

Playing in Canada as a pro.

I do like Edwards. Good leader. Athleticism. Has improved his passing.

He runs between collapsing pockets in the interior and eeks out an extra yard while protecting the ball. From what I've seen, anyway. Yeah, it's UVA, but that's a guy you rally around.

As for Taulia? He got chased out of Alabama because Saban was going with Mac Jones.

By that same logic, Billy got chased out of Wake Forest because Clawson was going with Sam Hartman.

Whatever they did at halftime they need to preserve it for the pregame pep talk. Villanova might be FCS, but they are a good FCS team, so I would not expect a pushover.

I like Billy over Taulia too. Stats can be deceiving IMO.

If you're implying Maryland should recruit legit QB talent on their own, we're on the same page.

IMO it's the eye test. Give that guy time and some receivers to get open downfield and you've got a QB that can run a top 10 offense.

I'm totally exaggerating here, but he's good.

I mean they have a 4-star QB signed for this year but there's plenty of examples of teams doing pretty well with a QB who couldn't start at a blueblood, I don't think Taulia is as good as Quinn Ewers but he's at Texas because he couldn't beat out CJ Stroud and Ole Miss is in the top 10 because Jaxson Dart left USC for Ole Miss once he knew Caleb Williams was showing up

He was also good enough to be signed by Bama, brother or not.

I like Edwards and feel pretty comfortable with him right now..but it feels disrespectful imo to say he's better (with a handful of starts) vs the guy who literally threw for more yards vs any Big Ten qb ever.

That said while Lia could escape and extend, Edwards is more of a threat moving. Also Lia let errors compound. If Edwards can avoid that, that would be a point in his favor.

Taulia just couldn't win the big game. He always seemed to come up short when it mattered most or made a critical mistake.

We'll see what Edwards can do, but he's already failed to win a game he was expected to.

For his efforts in this game, DB Dante Trader, Jr. (11 tackles, 1 interception) was named the Big Ten Conference's Defensive Player of the Week.
