No I was specifically talking about the offense. The bullpen and rotation get a bit of a pass due to injuries and I put not correcting that on Elias. But don't think Hyde manages the pitching very well either. In fact I think he's less than average at it.

Also, 2-1, 17-9, 17-9, 17-12, 12-13, 12-13.

That’s our record by month, so not really fair to say we are a .500 team for 3 months when we were 17-12 in June. Hard to manage a bullpen when there’s not one reliever you can count on consistently and two (Kimbrel and Soto) who needed babying.

Once again, no opinions of your own being shared. Too cowardly for that. You just wait for others to share their opinions and then go around sniping at them. And in a way that’s ineffective, low IQ and frankly embarrassing (for you). You’re a miserable little dicky, aren’t ya?

You’re the heavy hitter? How many years have you been on here? I mean, I haven’t seen one good post from you, ever. Time to maybe spend your time doing something else.

Little dicky. Big dicky. Miserable dicky. What’s the difference? I heard it’s all the same to you. LOL

I’ve been extremely calm the whole time. You don’t seem to be able to read people well. Maybe you and your “buddy” should get together. You guys seem all tensed up. I can only imagine how that might help. Not that there’s anything wrong with that.

I said we have been essentially a .500 team for 3 months. To be factual we are 41-37 or .525. And they went 8-9 in June after there 6 game winning streak. To me that's essentially .500.

Ok. Sounds to me, correct me if I’m wrong, our bullpen sucks, our rotation sucks, and why can’t this manager get this team to play better than .500 ball.

42-38 over the last 3 months. ~.500 seems a fair general statement to me.

Not worth arguing over. Ok.

As presently constructed we are just that, a .500 team. I'm not even fighting it anymore. We are far too inconsistent in too many areas to be better than that. They aren't going to flip a switch and become something that they aren't. This sample size of mediocrity is just too big.

The hope lies in them getting back 2 starters, 2 bullpen guys and a starting third baseman next month. That's a different team from the one we're watching right now and hopefully that's reflected in their play on the field in October. Them coming back and the fact that no other team looks like a juggernaut is where my hope lies when the post season comes around.

Why not?  Why are they only what they've been since mid-June and not since all year?

The Rangers were 40-38 in June, July, and August last year and didn't do anything over the remainder of the regular season to seem like they were any different.  The Diamondbacks were basically .500 for the entire season and 8 games under from July thru the end of the season.  The Astros were great all of 2023 but the Phillies were .500 thru mid-June.

100 win teams don't go 16-10 every month.  There are usually ebbs and flows.  And 95- and 90-win teams have even more volatility.

They can't play like this in October and accomplish anything.  But its not a foregone conclusion that they'll continue to play like this.

As I said, there’s nothing wrong with that. Carry on.

You must be in tight with the moderators. Love the double standard. You really are a baby. In just this thread you cried out to Chris, any moderator, and then your half wit buddy. Can’t you handle anything yourself?

Agree completely that it's still possible, but I'll feel a lot better if the bullpen seems to fix itself in September.

I gave you the reason for my optimism. I was hoping for a turnaround but they can't string more than 2 good games together. I didn't watch much of the Rangers last year but I do know that last year's O's never played like this. Hopefully we get those players back and get things jump started next month.

Who realistically is coming back? Feels like we’ve been told “late September” for everyone who’s hurt. That doesn’t exactly give me hope anyone comes back and produces.
I never had friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?
