I have nothing against Ricker personally. I don't have anything against anyone here personally to be honest.

The Ravens frustrate me in a way the Orioles just haven't of late. I can't explain why, but they have.

I wasnt implying you had a beef with Ricker. Was only said to say that I dont think there is a double standard. We are legit friends and sometimes will "yell" at each other on here. Pedro got into it with me and Phelan last week. Weve all been here from the jump.


I think you need to think back on some of the MLB draft threads, trade deadlines, lean years if you think you werent pretty depressing to read about the Os too. Even last year and early this year. But again, to keep it positive, Ive had zero issues with how youve posted in the Os section recently.

Fair. I was pretty dreary when the O's felt hopeless. I just needed to see prospects actually translate and the bones of the system look like they were truly different from the dark years. Since then I've felt pretty good even when they go through slumps.

Don't sweat, brother.  I've got your back.  If people on here get so personally offended by negative posts then maybe they should reexamine the mind set behind angst.  It's ridiculous.

Thanks. It does seem weird, I have to admit. But it's not my job (or anyone's) to tell someone how to feel.

Yeah, I don't really care to be honest.  I engage in the silliness at times because it does have an entertaining element to it.  I guess I've been corrupted like most when it comes to social media interaction.  But it's still baffling to me to take what someone posts so personally.

This is 100% accurate. Including the part about the negativity being irrational.

And I don't even care about the Ravens stuff.  Who cares?  If I could somehow connect his posts to having a negative impact on the team itself and it was affecting games then yeah, it would be a problem.  But that statement in itself shows how ridiculous it is.

The issue with Slide isn’t the negativity. It’s the negativity in certain places, while coming in other places and criticizing their negativity. It’s hypocritical. I was never one to give him shit for his negativity. But it’s rich to shit all over the franchise that actually has delivered 2 championships in our lifetime versus the one that hasn’t.
