I heard Grayson was throwing up in the bullpen before the game. Hopefully it's just a bug and not another injury.
No. He's hurt. Maybe at least a month (lat).

I've largely been a defender of Hyde on here, but it just seemed to me that taking out two lefties who have been hitting well of late (particularly against a pitcher whose career stats are virtually identical against lefties and righties) appeared to be overkill.

Thanks for the update. I believe it was a lat injury that pushed Grayson's debut from the summer of 2022 to the beginning of 2023.
This is starting to feel like Little Big Horn. And we're fast running out of foot soldiers.

That was a Hyde loss if ever there was one.

When I heard that Grayson was scratched and Suarez was starting, I figured it was a loss. As it turned out, he pitched great but our all or nothing offense was back in full bloom. Then Hyde over managing....just a lousy game.

Not only that but the splits benefitted batting a LH hitter there. Hyde can't even math right.

Even some of Hyde's more ardent defenders on talk radio were questioning the wisdom of those moves. Jim Hunter pointed out on the Fan this morning that if guys like Cowser and Holliday are every day players, then they have to be allowed to play in all types of game situations.
