IMS: BREAKING: Bishop McNamara three-star TE Jianni Davis has committed to Maryland. He’s the son of former Terp great Vernon Davis, and becomes the Terps eighth commit.

Significant buzz growing around 5-star OL Immanuel Iheanacho (Rockville, MD). He officially named Maryland as his #1 school today, and will visit College Park this month. Jeff Ermann (IMS) is currently projecting him to commit to Maryland over Oregon.

 

He's currently ranked as the 3rd-best player in the country, and the best from the state of Maryland. Still a long way to go until December's signing period, but if his commitment holds alongside Elee's this would easily be the Terps' best football recruiting class in school history.

4-star OL Day'jon Moore (Willis, TX) flipped his commitment from Pittsburgh to Maryland yesterday. He's currently ranked as the 30th-best interior offensive lineman in the nation, and the 48th-best player from the state of Texas. In addition to the Panthers, he had offers from Florida State, Ohio State, TCU, and Texas A&M, among others.

3-star OL Jesse Moody (Philadelphia, PA) has committed to Maryland. He's currently ranked as the 82nd-best offensive tackle in the country, and the 31st-best player from the state of Pennsylvania. He had offers from Georgia, Oregon, Penn State, and Tennessee, among others.

5-star EDGE Zion Elee (Baltimore, MD) has committed to Maryland. He’s currently ranked as the 13th-best player in the country, and the 2nd-best from the state of Maryland. Had offers from Georgia, Notre Dame, Oregon, and Penn State, among many others.

It’s obviously very early in this process, but if Maryland can hold onto him he’d become one of the best high school players to ever come to College Park.

Elee was notably on hand for South Carolina's game against Alabama today in Columbia. He's previously said his recruitment is "shut down", but nothing will be certain until he puts pen to paper for someone in less than two months.
