The Broncos actually wanted their offensive quality control coach to play QB, but their request was denied by the league.
They actually asked about 2 coaches.

It was a joke.
Not sure how anybody could have thought that was a joke especially with your last sentence. Next time perhaps at least insert and emoji or something?

(I laughed.)

Oh. I guess I took it literally without regards to it being out of character for you. My apologies.

It almost feels like the season should be paused, with what is going on with the Ravens, Broncos and other teams.

I laughed at this one at first, but then once I heard their reasoning it actually made sense though. They were trying to close a loophole that teams would use to name players they want to keep a low level coach, they'd still work out with the team unofficially, and they'd in effect have an extra roster spot that's not subject to PS rules. I could see SOME coaches around the league using that trick.

Saw a meme this afternoon about the game yesterday. The Broncos scored as many points against the Saints with no QB that the Bucs did with Tom Brady! LOL

I did see on PFT that the gambling sites had to eventually take the game off line once people were taking the Saints at -16.5.
