22 years old, and was in High A for the Pirates. At High A, he's had a 5-4 record, with a 3.38 era, over 88 innings. In those 88 innings, he's 61 hits, with 108 k's, and 41 bb's. That looks like an interesting arm.

Honestly surprised prospect-for-prospect deals don't happen more often

Im honestly not trying to be an ass but how can he automatically slot into the top 5 in the system but 2 weeks ago we were touting how great the pitching development is and its the year of the pitcher. I know we lost Baumeister and Johnson. I just think the pitching has been underwhelming. Especially above A ball. Its pretty damn barren IMO once you reach Bowie
Best trade of the day. He’s a stud, top 5 pitching prospect in the system immediately. Cook is rule 5 eligible and had no role here.

Still as high on De Leon even with his struggles at Aberdeen?
Yeah the stuff is still there and he’s very young.

A+
3.38 ERA, 88 IP, 61 H, 14 HR, 41 BB, 108 K
.664 OOPS, 11.05 K/9, 4.19 BB/9, 1.43 HR/9, 6.24 H/9
Giving up the HR seems to be his major weakness and obviously the control.

There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note
"Now OPS sucks. Got it."
"Making his own olive brine is peak Mackus."
"I'm too hungover to watch a loss." - McNulty
