I mean shame on these decisions. The SP choice. Pitxhing to Vlad. 

 

I don't like the SP choice as it was a cascading outcome of not pitching Burnes on 4-days rest for the last couple times.  

 

But don't think there is much to gripe about for Povich vs McDermott.  Not saying obviously pick Povich, just also not obvious to pick McDermott.  I'd prefer Povich.

Couldn’t even keep a run off the board with a 3 run lead. He’s terrible. I don’t know how anyone could trust him in a playoff game.

I don't think any of the funk around the team is the manager's doing or ultimate responsibility, and I think the "Hyde does nothing" comments are inane since we have no idea what he's going inside the clubhouse.  But the on-field decisions are easy to see and judge and he makes moves that I think are baffling way more often than he does things I really like.  Think he's a pretty bad tactician.  But also think its 95-99% the players that win or lose each game.

Povich has horrible control for a slop pitcher.  If he doesn't get it straightened out, he has no chance.  Same with McDermott.

McDermott has better stuff. Povich has the stuff too, but needs to command it. These MLB hitters aren't chasing that stuff outside the zone.

The defense behind him was horrible, too.

McDermott's had tons of issues with control too. But yeah, he's got better stuff.
