Honestly folks, I have had serious concerns about management since the trade deadline '22. I hope I'm wrong.

The price paid for Burnes erases a lot of the doubts about Elias's ability to ever focus on present over future. Still just one trade tough so do get the continued skepticism.

I think the offensive problems will work themselves out, but I don't see a lot of high-end arms sitting out there on bad teams waiting to be dealt. And if supply and demand makes the price for what is available spike significantly, I don't believe Elias will overpay for it. It's just how he operates; he doesn't circumstances force his hand.

Agree we can't find a Bradish but think we can get two guys like Means without giving up anything we'll miss. That's the right play, IMO. And two RP. Povich back to AAA until someone gets hurt or if Kremer struggles. I could live with both Kremer and Povich in the rotation if the one SP is on the higher end, but I don't think anyone like that makes sense.

I think tomorrow may be the most important game of the season to thi point. Come out firing and go on the break on an up note and in first place.

But lose another pathetic game and heading home on such a downer could spell real trouble. Sure the break could rejuvenate this club. But moping around for 5 days may be a disaster.

We've argued this before. That wasn't a hard trade. 99.9% of us on this board would have made that deal and I'm being conservative.

It's still purely a win-now move at the expense of two young players (one high quality, the other fading) and a comp pick. Easy to do, maybe, but he'd passed up on other easy to do moves before. Showed he can do it. Fair to question how hard he'll go the next time. We'll find out soon.

The fact they're losing the game means little to me. Just because they're trailing, eh, emotions or anger alone don't make you win or lose games. The score (to me) doesn't mean they don't care.

The fact that nobody has plunked a guy yet tells me they don't have the balls to stand up for themselves and their teammates. Because THAT is a message that should be delivered today, and at the latest it should have been delivered to Judge after Soto went deep. And that's something the manager can make happen. Anyone who says otherwise is wrong or intentionally lying. Hyde should have completely eviscerated Boone in the postgame last night, if not knocked him out cold during the scuffle.

Boone is driving all this from the Yankees side. To say otherwise is fantasy. Hyde needs to answer, or keep taking it like a wuss.

100%. All of it. Hyde is a wuss and it rubs off on this team. Unacceptable no Yankee was thrown at today. They are winning the psycholgical battles, and recently the games too, because no one on our side has balls besides Fredi G. Its not just Hyde though. Some of the players should be taking it into their own hands
