I think he will eventually tick up a bit with the Ks but he has no real out pitch. Again, like Kremer.
I think Povich curve is much better than any out pitch Kremer has.
Kremer can rack up Ks from time to time, though. He just gets hit hard.

I was in the other room but it sounded like Seager annihilated his too.
He did.

Cowser is a horrible 2-strike hitter. Once he gets in the hole, he's pretty much an automatic out/K.

Kremer definitely throws harder but like Povich, has command issues.

Yes, like almost all minor league players, he'll have to continue to improve or else he won't have a career. For a guy who doesn't have a power fastball, Povich seems to have issues with command, throws a lot of pitches and especially has trouble throwing his breaking stuff for strikes. He needs to understand that major league hitters aren't going to miss balls in the heart of the plate so unless he starts to throw strikes to both corners, he's in serious trouble.
Povich strikes me as a guy who understands how to pitch. I think as he gains experience and learns the hitters, he'll have an individualized plan for every guy he faces. Command and control can both use some improving, but he's got the tools to be a solid starter. Still work to go to get there.

...And another reason why O'Hearn shouldn't play in the field.

I get not giving O'Hearn an error there, but that's a play a first baseman has to make.

OHearn def isnt good at 1b but hes good enough to give Mounty off days. My bigger complaint is not playing Westy at 3b except on rare occasions. Mateo is our best 2b defensively and hes hitting well enough right now. Playing Urias a little too much. Move him back to a once a week role
I agree with all of this.
I think Urias is hitting his way (0 for his last 19?) into the real part time role.
Mateo has been incredible defensively at second this year.

Think they were arguing that it should've been an error on Westburg for the throw. But it's a pick most good 1st basemen make regularly.
Yeah, they have a 'scoop' stat (dunno what it's called) on FanGraphs that track that kind of play.
