4 runs in the last 3 games. Two solo HRs from Westburg saved them from being shut out in Houston back to back games.

They have to survive til the break. Said before a .500 month would be ok. Think they are still 2 or 3 over for the month. Have to be realistic about what we can do in trades though. I figure we can get 2 quality arms. Anything more is prob more like what Fuji was last year.

Probably the most annoying stretch of baseball this team has had since Adley arrived. Only a 4 game skid but just feels brutal.

Using Mountcastle there was a mistake. Yes he's the better overall hitter compared to Cowser. But so what? Mountcastle wasn't going to tie the game. He gets a hit and you still need Cowser. But Cowser might have tied the game with one swing. Easy call to me to go Cowser there.

I liked the idea of Cowser driving somebody in, but I wouldn't have sent Mounty up to get on base.

Hays might have had the best chance to get on base. Mountcastle and Cowser are both striking out.
