I don't know if he can do it... but I was surprised at how quickly he seemed fine with the BP job... when they did that, I thought he was still worth fixing as a SP.... he was actually good at it before Whatever Happened that screwed him up.... so, we know he could do it, we just don't know why he quit being able to or if he can get back to it when he's using all his pitches...

Per Encina:
#Orioles announce they've avoided arbitration with Brian Matusz, agreeing on a one-year deal. As reported, he signed for $3.9 million.

Probably more like 4 million.
$3.9... not too bad Weber.

Flushing money down the toilet.
Just remember: that's what we see (and I've said it for three years).
This is what everyone else sees:
A former starter, Matusz has found his niche in Baltimore’s bullpen over the past three seasons. He had a 2.94 ERA over 58 appearances in 2015 while averaging a career-high 10.3 K/9.

Whose spot does Matusz deserve at this point? I'd really hate to see Givens go down.MASN: Move must be made for Matusz http://www.masnsport...for-matusz.html

Wilson should be sent down.
You don't need 2 long men and he is the 6th starter. Let him build up innings in case you need him.

9-2 game, Matusz comes in to start the 9th. Walks the first guy on 4 pitches.
Looks like he's in mid season form.

In the telecast yesterday, Palmer relayed comments from Matusz that he's not right physically (rounding into shape) or mentally (confidence) right now.

Matusz is my least favorite Orioles pitcher, even last year when he was a pretty good version of himself. He stinks!

How many pitchers in the last 10 years have bothered/frustrated you more? I can't think of any off of the top of my head.
(and I say fully acknowledging that the Os screwed him up)
