The longer the Pacers hang around, the more OKC is playing with fire.  I think OKC will win this game, but if they lose given IND doesn't have Halliburton, man that'd be a black mark against them.

So worst of 7 teams? 2 of which didn't win the chip. Alright, there's worse things.

They still have some growing to do offensively and when it comes to big playoff games and close and late (this should help with that), but they were still a pretty great team driven by fantastic defense.

This is a team that has a good chance to disrupt the parody cycle that the league is in now.

Also congrats to the Pacers for such a great, improbable run. It really sucks about Haliburton though.

Boooooo. Wrong that that franchise won a title while Seattle is still without a team.

 

But they were the better team (Pacers were impressive simply in taking it the distance) and I respect how Presti built such a great team despite a cheapskate liar for an owner.

There have not been many teams that won 68 games so maybe, but they did win 68 in a loaded WC and won the title so congrats to them.  I think the first title is always the hardest to win especially with a team so young, so IMO not even close to  fraud, IMO.

I agree the media has gone far over board in their anointing OKC the next dynasty, but that is not their fault.
