Today should be Dean Kremer VS Sonny Gray. I think you've got tomorrow's starters.

I wonder if StL will entertain offers for Gray?

Good news! I saw a dog today.

He's a good pitcher but I'm not giving them any prime prospects for someone 34 years old.

Gray has a full no trade and costs 2/65M after this year. Such deals are probably at least possible now, but I don't think we're going to start throwing around many 30M+/year deals either.

I don't see a need at SP right now.

Yeah, if Burnes, Rodriguez, Bradish, Means, and Kremer stay relatively healthy we're in great shape. Even have some backup reinforcement options with Irvin and Saurez, though I'd like to keep Saurez in the pen. You've also got Povich who appears close to ready and McDermott who may not be super far behind.

I don't see a need at SP right now.

While I did kind of have the O's in mind, I should have clarified that I was wondering if, in general, they'll listen to offers.

To jamesDean's point, I wouldn't offer much more than the chance for the Cards to get off the hook for the next 2 years. StL isn't likely to contend next year, without really loading up on FA talent. So they might like the idea of reducing their payroll or redirecting it. Burnes is all but certainly gone after this season, Gray would be a nice stabilizer to that loss. But I'm not trying to hard sell here, just pondering.

Or maybe our wildest dreams come true, and Burnes realizes he loves pitching for the O's, and this is a great new home for him and his family.

Good news! I saw a dog today.

So Gray has thrown the same number of pitches so far as Kremer. That's good. Be better if it were the same number of outs 😋.

Another walk, steal, single by the #9 hitter and Cards up 1-0. Henderson with another superb play for the third out. Kremer will be lucky to go 5....43 pitches already.

How is Laz Diaz still employed as an MLB umpire?

I think it's a combination of tenure and a general lack of accountability from the league.

Much better kremer in the 3rd. Only 10 pitches and command much better.

Gray totally baffling our offense. 6 groundnuts, 4 KS, and one fly ball. Zero hard hit balls. Need to find a way to stay in this one till Gray runs out of gas.
