Flagg injured.
"He just came down and sprained his ankle," Scheyer said. "X-rays were negative, which is great. We just have to understand there's going to be swelling and to see how he recovers and how he goes from there."

Yea, that was likely it. Tough way to end it.
They did play Duke 3 times, Auburn, Alabama, Florida, and at Kansas, Louisville, and Clemson. Toughest schedule in the country, but didn't win any of them, so they really don't deserve to be in anyway.

Schedule strength has to matter. How competitive they were in those games, has to matter even if they didn't win. (I don't know the answer there, haven't looked at the games.)
Do know they played better down the stretch.
Looks like they'll just be out, but we'll see.

Agreed!!
They should have beaten Florida & Michigan State, and were close in two of the three Duke games, the Kansas game, and the Louisville game. The games at Duke & Clemson, and Auburn (in Maui) they got dominated.
They've been really good the last 3-4 weeks, 9-2, with the only two losses in the last 7 days, both vs Duke.
The Mountain west really screwed us, with New Mexico & Utah State both belng eliminated. We couldn't really afford any "bid stealers", and Colorado State might be one.
I'll just rewatch the 2022 Final four game vs Duke on a loop the next few weeks.

Mountain West has been a great tournament, per usual. But yes they did screw some bubble teams. Still think UNC has a shot. Toss up.
Hope so, but not feeling good about it.
Last night would have been amazing, for many reasons.

There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note

1-12 vs Quad 1, but a tough schedule. Did play better down the stretch. Name helps.
They had 13 opportunities v Q1 teams cuz of their brand, period, and then they get rewarded for it despite losing 12 of those contests.
IOW, they pick and choose which aspect to acknowledge when it comes to big name schools. #Same as it ever was.

See ya in Dayton!
Good times!
A lot of people on Elon's site are very mad about this for some reason. Cool that people care so much.

Having to go to Seattle is a bummer but being in Florida's bracket is the one you'd choose.
Grand Canyon is NET #92.
2nd round opponent slated to be Memphis who is only #49 in NET. They'd need to get past #47 NET Colorado St so could be an upset.

Works for his time coaching the Knicks as well (24-58 to 38-44 to 52-30). Falls apart with the 2nd year in Boston.
