Beavers has really slowed down since April- early May.

Can't argue with getting the #1 prospect out of any draft, but 2022 looks disappointing after Holliday. Beavers, Wagner, and Fabian haven't taken off as prospects. Bright and Weston showing some potential on the mound, though.

Fabian will probably make it to the bigs. He has legit defense and pop. Will take a walk too. Prob a 4th OFer or lower div starter though.


Beavers still a prospect but the shine has wore off a bit recently. Still enough season to finish strong.

Wagner looks to be a total wash.

The top 20 or so have really struggled this year outside of Holliday and Mayo. Basallo and Bradfield have been good, not great. Norby been great, but he's another Ortiz odd man out situation.

Beavers, Horvath, Fabian, Tavera, Wagner, Arias have all struggled.

O's really slow play their pitching prospects, but still a lot of interesting arms between AA and A ball.

Norfolk kinda sucks and it should be noted that there isnt a single real prospect playing there right now. Granted, McDermott and Kjersted are on IL and Mayo hasnt played since being demoted. Just a bunch of AAA/AAAA guys playing everyday right now. Reminds me of the AAA teams we were always used to seeing in AAA

Norfolk kinda sucks and it should be noted that there isnt a single real prospect playing there right now. Granted, McDermott and Kjersted are on IL and Mayo hasnt played since being demoted. Just a bunch of AAA/AAAA guys playing everyday right now. Reminds me of the AAA teams we were always used to seeing in AAA

Just made this observation on today’s OTV daily. Hopefully Basallo, Fabian, Beavers, Bright, and Pham get up there soon.

Don't think Fabian or Beavers have really earned a promotion to AAA yet. Basallo has been good, but not great, too. Probably just let him finish the year in Bowie as well.

Pham, Bright, Weston, and Brnovich should be in AAA.

I disagree on Basallo, think you can call this a great season for him. Fabian is ready, been very good this month. Beavers is warming up but could see him staying in AA all season.

Fabian can be moved up. Hes been solid enough. We know he can get the job done defensively. He's a 4th OF platoon type anyway.

I also side more with Bob on Basallo. Closer to great than good. I want to hammer home to everyone everyday how much catching takes away from offense.  At every level. The work put in both physically and mentally to catch is really demanding. Its what pisses me off when some around here want to bitch about Adley.

He also played most of the year at 19 in AA. The issue with Basallo is can he stick at C. Thats still a question. Seemingly still has work to do defensively with everything besides throwing

He's still a monster prospect but think calling this year great is looking at his overall picture and not zooming in on 2024. If we had a "what's an A grade season look like for him?" poll question before the year, I doubt anybody would've said ~800 OPS. Bar is really high for him, IMO. Still time for a heater, at Bowie or Norfolk, to tick things up to that level.

Offensively Basallo is doing what I hoped and expected. I didnt think he was going to OPS .900 as a 19 yr old C at AA. For me he is a B+ this year. Very good.

The minor league teams stateside stink this year. All of them. Only Aberdeen is going to finish above .500 and not by much. Delmarva,, Bowie and Norfolk all are bottom 4 teams in their leagues. Norfolk and Delmarva could both finish as the worst teams in their league
