Terps shoot 44% from the field in that first half, including 50% from beyond the arc. Very impressive against one of the country’s best defensive units.

After advancing to the Big Ten Tournament's second round, Maryland will face off against 5-seed Wisconsin tomorrow afternoon at approximately 2:30 PM ET. The Badgers finished the regular season with a record of 19-12 (11-9), but struggled down the stretch going just 3-7 in their last 10 games. One of those three wins came against the Terps, a four-point victory in Madison. Kevin Willard's squad shot the ball well in that game, but struggled from the free throw line and were out-rebounded by nine.

If Maryland can win this game, it'll be the first time they've ever won multiple conference tournament games since joining the Big Ten. Their overall tournament record currently stands at 5-8.

The play-in and first round games make this pretty meaningless, IMO.  Well, it's meaningful that they've never done it before, that's not good and an obvious indictment on Turgeon's annual failings in late-season.  But doing so this year wouldn't be any sort of accomplishment.  Would be fun to win tonight though, maybe we can see one more glimpse of what could've been if the season hadn't gone so poorly.

Wisconsin enters the game as 3.5-point favorites. ESPN gives them a 70.9% chance to win.

Did Maryland really only make one basket in the final 8:20 yesterday and still win by double digits?

And it’s now announced that he’ll miss the remainder of the tournament. He suffered a non-contact knee injury, so assume there’s some sort of ligament damage.
