Just when you have a glimmer of hope that they could win out and possibly take a game or two in the BTT to have a chance.... they lose to NW at home.

I just heard the announcers say that this was a big win for Northwestern because it was yet another quad one win this year.
If Maryland is still a quad one win at this late date, then what is the freakin point of divvying up the teams into quads, other than to maintain the status quo / glass ceiling to prevent mid majors from attaining at-large bids?
