Thought that was a done deal
And now Cleveland's ownership reportedly wants to move out of the current stadium and into a domed facility in the suburbs.

From what I understand, funding for the project remains unclear. The city of Cleveland offered to split the cost of renovating the current stadium, but they haven't made any such commitment toward the building of a new one.

Man. Take the chances of a lake effect snow game out of Cleveland and you may as well just relocate the team elsewhere.

I felt the same way about the Vikings when they moved from the Met to the Hump Dome.

I've always been relatively in favor of some public funding going towards stadium construction because of what the presence of the big pro sports franchises just do for a community. That said, Cleveland and these cities that are being / have been asked to replace a stadium just 20-25 years after it's been built... no. That's kind of ridiculous and borderline gross malpractice of sorts.
These places should be built for 40+ year lifespans minimum. It's not that hard, and completely reasonable / achievable. Ownership groups are treating stadiums like their leased luxury cars they can just swap out every couple years, with the public covering a lot of the cost. THAT has to end. You get a stadium with public financing... you're there for at least 40-50 years. Maintenance and updates of course. But to mothball the whole thing and build new after 20

The Lawrence hit today and the hit Flacco took years ago are examples of why I dont love my QB sliding feet first. You leave your head so exposed in that spot and if a defender wants to take a free shot at taking out your most important player they can do that.

Jameis Winston went 34-for-58 for 497 yards (a franchise record) and six touchdowns on MNF vs. Denver. Two of those touchdowns, unfortunately, went to the guys wearing the other jerseys.

It's who he is. Gunslinger without ball protection. He'll give the opponent several chances a game to grab the ball. Ravens win in CLE of course if they hold on to a gimme INT late.

Nearly a third pick-six at the end. Crazy game.

Winston flopped throwing his hands in the air, looked at the ref and screamed, and got the call.
Steratore flat out LIED while watching the replay saying he took two steps. Romo like an obedient league shill agreed with him.

Danny Smith can't retire soon enough. CBS showing him celebrating after every Dustin Hopkins missed FG (2 so far today) is nauseating. Like he had chit to do with either of them...
He really is nauseating.
