Very interested in the Tampa pick. Always nice to have young, quality secondary depth.
Believe Kiper had him ranked as high as 38.
Most people had him in their top 50. I guess the limited athleticism scared people off. I never have a problem getting a top 50 guy outside of the top 100.

They already had enough OL prospects in house. They were able to get an OT they liked. Im good with that being enough. That said, OL is gonna be a serious question entering the year. Still dont understand why they didnt try harder to re-sign Zeitler
Or why they traded their RT who just had 2 solid seasons back to back.

Liked this draft up to the Leary pick. He does not fit their offense at all and there were several players on the board who might have added needed depth at other positions. Yuk.

6th Rd QB. Leary out of NC State
He actually finished at Kentucky. Classic case of a kid who wasted too much time in college. Would easily have been a Day 2 pick if he came out two years ago.

Im not seeing much with Leary but he will surely get plenty of reps in TC and preseason games to show something
Would easily been available as a UDFA if they’re that enamored of him for some reason. Don’t understand using a pick there at all. Maybe they think he’ll blow up in preseason and they can trade him for something better than a pick at the end of the 6th.

Sounds like Leary has a pretty good and accurate arm.

Need someone behind Lamar. Who's on the roster? Josh Johnson and Malik Cunningham? Obviously it doesn't really matter cause if you lose Lamar extended your chances are slim to none regardless.

HAD an accurate arm is more like it. Not sure if he just never recovered from the chest injury in ‘22 or what, but completed just 56% of his passes with 12 picks last year. Kid made the biggest mistake of his life not coming out after ‘21.
They obviously need at least 1 more QB for OTAs and training camp. Just don’t see why you spend a pick on that.

They’re apparently signing Maryland OL Corey Bullock as a UDFA.
Add Terps S Beau Brade to the list.

That was my thought when I heard about the pick.
