Following three straight losses away from home, Maryland limps back to College Park to face off against UMBC on Tuesday night. This will be the first of three consecutive non-conference home games, with matchups against South Alabama and Rider also scheduled through next Tuesday. The Retrievers are led by third-year head coach Jim Ferry, who has led them to a 3-2 record this season. They've won three straight games against Penn State York, Sacred Heart, and Loyola (MD) after beginning the year with two straight losses to Louisville and Marist. Their season-opening road loss to the Cardinals came by just one point.
