Per USA Today's Bob Nightengale, the Cardinals are reportedly open to trading Sonny Gray.
Not sure if this opportunity knocking, considering Gray had something of a down season in his first year with St. Louis. Plus, he's 34 years old and his backloaded contract balloons to $25 million next season and $35 million for 2026. He has a buyout for $5 million in 2027, meaning that he'll be due at least $65 million over the next two seasons. Oh, and he also has a full no-trade clause.
Still, it might be worth looking into if the Cardinals are looking to reduce payroll. Might not cost as much in terms of prospects.

Padres over LAD in 5

I went conservative and took the Yanks series at -1.5. If it goes 5 or Royals win it Ill be shocked.Yankees slam Royals in 3
Phillies outlast Mets in 5
Tigers over Cle in 5
Padres over LAD in 5
Havent bet any of the others. I think Det could potentially throw Skubal twice so that makes that series more interesting. I think the Phils handle NY and the SD-LA lools like fire on paper. Have a futures bet on the Padres so thats where the rooting interest will be.

It's weird that the Dodgers have like a bazillion dollar payroll, and facing elimination the best they can do is a bullpen game.

Looks like the Dodgers are going to force a Game 5 with San Diego. I still like the Padres in this series, however.

Division winners 0-3 in the playoffs with LA and Cle on the brink. We will see how everything plays out but could be all WildCard teams in the Champ Series.
Not so fast say the Yanks and Dodgers. I wont watch a second if its a Yanks-Mets or Yanks-Dodgers WS. All those teams can get lost

Machado certainly steps up his being a piece of human garbage while He's in the playoffs.
I saw the clip of his ball he "threw" at the dugout. Manny certainly brings alot of this on himself, but that instance has been overblown.
