Sims fumbles, and Maryland will take right back over!

Howes nails the 35-yard FG.

Game is tied 10-10 with 12:42 left in the fourth quarter.

Hemby fumbles at the goal line, and Nebraska will take over. That’s Maryland’s third turnover today.

Apparently Brock Purdy has a younger brother, and he’s Nebraska’s third-string QB. He takes over for Sims.

The lack of heart and focus late is actually kind of impressive. Whatever you do, do it well, I say. Maryland could teach a clinic on late game collapses.

Still with his second INT of the game, and it comes in the end zone!

Credit to Maryland’s offense for figuring out the running game here in the second half.

Smart for Maryland not to assume the field goal. They’re still trying for the end zone inside the 20 with 33 seconds to go.

Maryland wins on a walk-off FG by Howes.

It wasn’t pretty, but Maryland is now bowl eligible for the third straight season. First time that’s happened since the 2006-08 seasons.

Sounds like it was an ugly win, but at this point they needed any win they can get to turn around the mess they made for themselves.

Give a solid showing against Michigan next week....with their huge win today and OSU the week after maybe you're catching them at the right time.

Get a favorable bowl matchup and they could still salvage an eight win season. That would seem disappointing back when they were sitting at 5-0, but I also would've bet against it before this game.

For their performances in this game, DB Tarheeb Still has been named the Big Ten's Defensive Player of the Week and K Jack Howes has been named the Big Ten's Special Teams Player of the Week.

Didn't get to watch any of this but listened to a lot of it on the radio between soccer games.

Just want to make my yearly post of how great Steve Suter is at commentary for the Terps.  He's got great chemistry with Holliday and helps cover up some of Johnny's shortcomings as he continues to get a bit older and miss some things.  He also is not at all afraid to call out the coaching staff or players when he sees something he disagrees with it but manages to do it in a classy way.  He's fantastic and I'd love it if he kept that job for a long time.

And then seconds, partly because of Suter's commentary but just seems kind of obviously, wholly unimpressed with Josh Gattis.  With the experienced O-line and backs this team has the running game should be way better. There should have been some red flags early in the season when they couldn't even run on Towson.

Would love to hear Suter on TV sometime. BTN should hire him away.

The shine has definitely worn off on Gattis since he won the Broyles Award at Michigan. The Wolverines didn't miss a beat without him and from what I gather no one at Miami was disappointed to see him go.

Maybe it's just my recollection that stands out and the overall sample indicates otherwise, but even dating back to last season the offense really seems to struggle in short yardage situations, especially when they try to run. Can't recall how many times I see them get stuffed on 3rd or 4th and short, but it seems like a lot. And last year they had a pretty good OL, so I'm wondering if it's a scheme thing or they just make it too obvious to the opponent what they're going to do (and this wasn't only in games against Michigan).
