I'm pretty sure they raised the minimum level by 20% last year, from $500 to $600, so the idea of a large increase isn't new.

At least Soto isn't Buzz Light-year (Infinity & Beyond)
But man, that's an ugly ERA.

I remember being able to bring a plastic igloo full of beer to Memorial Stadium in the early eighties.
The Wild Bill Hagy era effectively ended when they banned that.

The antics of Section 34 excellarated the ban.
Those guys were way out of control.

You're correct.
The captive audience will pay to drink.
I rarely drink anymore, but $ 16 is insane.
Not saying I wouldn't pay it.
I guess it's tough for me to wrap my head around this since I'm a fossil.

A few years ago, I went to a concert in Vegas. I bought a margarita and was shocked when the person said it would be $16.
Alcohol is, was and always will be an overpriced luxury. I pretty much stopped drinking at public events

Not as bad as June, but tonight is the beginning of kind of a brutal stretch - 22 games in 23 days.

That includes a dreaded west coast trip. At least they return home from that trip, to a 3 game series against the Yankee slayers.

Yeah, they return from the west coast trip on a Sunday night and then not only is there no off day on Monday, they play a day game because it's Labor Day.

I didn't notice that. That's cruel and unusual

I am probably not going to renew. The "bonuses" and "discounts" sans alcohol don't make sense to me. I appreciate the discount on merch but how many O's shirts do I need? My closet is already full of them.
So why am I going to get season tickets when I have to pay as much for beer as everyone else?
That was the one thing I buy at the games. The food is overpriced, mediocre (although Fuzzies rocks and the rotating Ekiben sando was good) so beer is pretty much all I buy inside. If there is no perks for that anymore, I'll just go to a few games a year and get tickets on SeatGeek.

Assuming you get a survey, really drive home the importance of that discount to your decision not to renew. You're probably not alone. It could be that they didn't realize the value of the discount. Or they don't care, and they're making a decision to maximize profit on beer sales.

Of course, this was before they axed the discount.
The other perk is getting tickets at member prices. It’s significantly cheaper.
Of course, if you wanna go to non prime games they’re prolly as cheap if not cheaper on the secondary market.

Next 14 are all against teams very much in the playoff hunt. Bos, NYM, Hou, LA. Get through this stretch 7-7 at minimum and I think we will be in good shape to finish the year strong. Starts tonight and this series. Glad Burnes and Eflin are going in the first two of this series. Split with Bos at minimum. Dont let them gain ground on you. Obviously, if you can win 3 of 4 thats terrific. The push starts tonight. Keep it clean. Stay focused and grind the next few weeks out.

We also had some bad luck with the weather this year too, and last year Ravens season I think I sat in the rain 4 times. It seemed like every game we had until July it rained or there was the threat of rain. Having to go to a bad weather game because you have tickets sucks.

Os you don’t have to. If it looks like bad weather you can swap

Hopefully they're announcing extensions alphabetically, and Henderson, Holliday, and Rutschman are following later today.
