Great job by the two vets in Gibby and Means to sack up and give length

yeap. Gotta take some comfort in that. We could really use the bye to reset the pitching staff/bullpen

Gibby over Kremer whos tank is on empty. I think the playoff rotation is set with

Bradish
GRod
Means
Gibby

Plus Kremer might be able to dial it up and have his stuff play a tick up out of the pen

I still prefer Kremer to Gibson, but wouldn't think it's a bad decision to go the other way.

I dont trust Kremer. Particularly now as hes clearly hit a wall of late. Gibby has some fight in him. Sometimes that doesnt matter as he gets bludgeoned but I respect it. Could also come down to who it is we get matched up with and history. Still, on the whole, I say Gibson

I'm really torn on this one. Kremer was on a very good run until the last 3-4 starts. Gibson is basically a coin flip; he could be 7 IP, 2 ER, 6 Ks, 1BB or 5 IP, 5ER, 1 K, 3 BBs. And it seems like there's no middle ground for him.

Probably the best bet after Bradish, Means, Rodriguez is to just piece it together with Gibson and Kremer. Hopefully, you get to the 7th and then match up from there.

Gibson at 187 IP after today. Will fall just short of 200 IP. Anyone have a guess on the last Os SP to throw 200 IP? Im going to look it up. Tillman never got to 200 did he? Maybe Guthrie?? Its not all the way back to Moose is it?

In the play offs we only need a 4 man rotation. Clearly the front 3 are Bradish, GRod, and Means,

If and when you need a 4th then choose between Gibson and Kremer based upon the matchup but have the one you choose on a  short leach and be ready to bring in the other one or Flaherty sooner rather than later.

Tillman had at least one year with 200 IP plus. Maybe 2 or 3.

Tillman had a year with 206.1 and 207.1 IP in 2013 and 2014.

Pretty sure Tillman and Guthrie both did. Also would guess Lopez, Cabrera, Ponson, and Millwood since Moose. And Erickson, not sure if he did it after Moose left though, but certainly contemporary with Mussina.

Tillman in 2013 and 2014. Yes, Guthtrie did it multiple times as well. Chen was at 191 IP in 2015. Chen got to 190+ twice. That surprises me. Realized he was effective here. Didnt realize he was that close to 200 IP twice.

Ponson had the two highest IP seasons in the 21st century (for the O's). Pair of 216 IP in '03 and '04.

We would've been much better off had he not thrown 216 innings in 2004.
