Very high production values. I'm worried folks who didn't watch Rebels won't get it, but it's very much what I wanted so far.

Watched the 1st episode last night with my son. It was fun. Saw it more as an introduction to people that aren't familiar with these characters. Season 3 of Mando was a bit of a disappointment but I'm hopeful for this show.
My only nitpick would be the inconsistency of the effectiveness of light sabres.

I think I'll check out the next season of Andor and then I am checking out of SW stuff.
It's all too serialized now...Saturday morning cartoons. No stakes, no suspense. The antithesis of what the original movies were about.

I appear to be in the minority in that yeah, sometimes you can get stabbed and not die.

I mean, if we're being honest here, Episode VI was already repeating the story of Episode IV when the rebels blew up the Death Star's main reactor core.
The Star Wars universe's main problem is the stories are way too linear: Good vs Evil. I'm already groaning with this Admiral Thrawn nonsense.
Make us give a crap about some shady characters. Frankly, the way to do that was via the Boba Fett show, but what a disappointment that show turned out to be. That show should've been about bounty hunters in a 'Balkanized' group of guilds competing with one another. Not told through Boba Fett (woof), but rather through a Cad Bane or a Fennec Shand. You don't need to whitewash their intentions, but tell us a good story about the bounties they capture, and the fighting / sabotage they experience via other guilds.

Boba Fetts is dead. LOL. That show shouldn’t even exist.
Andor does what you’re saying should be done. But that show has a built in expiration date, which I like, and has been uneven itself.
They’re on cruise control at this point. It’s all fan service. No story.

Rogue One was the best of the SW movies (I loathe the latest trilogy with the passion of a thousand suns). Solo may have had multiple directors, but it was fun.
Shoot - when The Mandalorian ran into a pirate ship I kinda got excited for a minute. How is it they haven’t built a SW universe of bounty hunters outside of a show centered around a golden child / muppet?
You’re saying it’s all fan service right now. If that’s true, the people who drop $ on video games would love an open world series of shows about bounty hunting. Imagine a GTA / RDR SW Bounty Hunter style.
They’re leaving way too much on the table here.

There are like 4 Star Wars games in development, better late than never.
The shows haven’t been appointment television but I’ve still enjoyed them as background viewing.

I agree Rogue One is the best SW movie. That movie rocks. Which is partly why I like Andor. Just give Tony Gilroy the keys to the franchise.
Star Wars would slowly become more prestige than HBO.

Not every iteration of Star Wars needs to be "prestige" Andor is your prestige show, Mando is popcorn, and Ahsoka can maybe be something in the middle. Rebels is/was my favorite Star Wards media so I'm excited for this show. I'll be more interested if they focus on some of the deeper "force" questions brought up in later Reblels like the world between worlds.

I was worried about oversaturation once Disney acquired and here we are.
I don't even know if I want to watch all this stuff.
I haven't watched the most recent Mandalorian
Didn't watch Andor or Ashoka
I watched the Ben Kenobi mini series and that was fine.
It's just too much.
There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note
"Now OPS sucks. Got it."
"Making his own olive brine is peak Mackus."
"I'm too hungover to watch a loss." - McNulty

Andor was a lot better than Kenobi was. Frankly, it was a breath of fresh air.
