James Harden opted in to his $35.6M for the coming season so that he and the Sixers could pursue a trade. That might end speculation that he was interested in returning to Houston, or that the Rockets were interested in brining him back.

There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note
"Now OPS sucks. Got it."
"Making his own olive brine is peak Mackus."
"I'm too hungover to watch a loss." - McNulty

I'm guessing Harden already has a team in mind and maybe even worked out. Only team that I can think of crazy enough to do it, who also have the kind of contracts they'd be willing to send back to Philly, would be the Clippers. In fact, I'd make them the heavy favorite as to where he ends up.

I thought Harden to the Clippers was crazy. Then I read a rumor that Phoenix might be trying to get Kyrie Irving via sign-and-trade from Dallas using Deandre Ayton. I would normally say the Sun imploding is not a good thing for humanity, but sign me up to watch the inevitable disaster that would be a Booker/Beal/Durant/Irving show.

Kyrie back to Dallas on a 3yr/$126M deal as humanity, here on our flat Earth, dodges extinction via imploding Sun(s). The Mavs....not so fortunate.

Tyrese Haliburton and the Pacers agreed to a 5-year max extension that could be worth up to $260M. Haliburton followed up by sending out the Tweet of the Day.

Chris Haynes has been Lillard's mouthpiece in the media for some time, so have to think this is real. The clock has expired on Dame Time.

And the Blazers really look like idiots now for giving Jerami Grant 5yr/$160M.

Noteworthy news that quietly broke last night was the Heat securing themselves a nice $9.45M trade exception by sending Victor Oladipo and draft capital to OKC. Wonder if they already knew today's news was coming?
