The Orioles have gone to a 12 man pitching staff for today.  I am guessing Vavra goes down tomorrow and Givens returns from the IL.

 

I would rather have Westburg up, and the roster maneuvers seem strange, but it will be good to see Ortiz play SS.

Stowers should be getting regular ABs between LF/RF/DH. He's never going to show if he belongs or not playing 2-3 times sporadically throughout the week.

Problem is he's not going to unseat Mullins, Hays, or Santander so you'll have to get creative on how to find him regular ABs. There's no reason guys like O'Hearn or even Vavra should be taking ABs away from him.

I think you can carry 1 of Vavra or O'Hearn  and not restrict Stowers.  I laugh at posts that say move on from Stowers.  He has a grand total of 26 AB's this year.  That is nothing.  I would like to see him get regular PT and see if he settles in.  The Orioles are playing great but they need another bat or two. I have my doubts that Elias and the organization are going to spend the prospects or $$$ to acquire one, so hopefully they can catch lightning in the bottle with their young players,

Can you read. You move on from Stowers for Cowser. A swap essentially. Hes stil in AAA and if someone goes down he likely gets another chance. Hes not a Gunnar where you just bite hard, deal with the lumps, and run him out there every single day for 2 or 3 months straight.

The way they're hitting, 4 runs is pretty much insurmountable. Maybe everyone should take Mullins lead and just start dragging bunts.
