I noticed he came out of the game yesterday in the last inning.  McKenna was in CF when the Braves won the game.

 

Maybe he tweaked something, but I thought at the time it was just a double switch to get the pitcher's spot as far away as possible if the game went to the 13th.  They lost the DH as a result of pinch-running McKenna for Urias (Mateo had PR for Santander earlier in the DH spot and he had to move into the field when Urias left the game).

If Mullins isn't hurt, this is stupid.  He's 6/17 with 2 HR against McClanahan.

 

 

Apparently, Frazier is the only lefty capable of facing lefty pitchers.

Mountcastle is 1/15 with 6 K.  Urias and Mateo have good numbers.  Nobody else more than 5 PA.

I actually tweeted Roch to see if Mullins is nicked up. This smacks of old school Hyde, no left on left matchups on offense.

Mullins is hardly lighting things up right now but if he has those numbers against McClanahan, that's a head scratcher.

5 for his last 19 overall but his numbers vs McClanahan speak for themselves. Ced not being in the lineup tonight is a fireable offense and I'm not even being hyperbolic. Barring some kind of a nagging injury, it's an inexcusable move by Hyde.
