I was thinking about buying tickets to an O's game soon, and started thinking about a few reasons that would influence what games I buy tickets for.

 

I'm curious to see what you all think. Given how well the team is doing now, presumably, fans on the fringe are more likely to buy tickets as opposed to watching the game on TV. But why? Let us know in the poll above.

I am going to 3 games on the next homestand, and to me it is a lot of things.  I have been an Oriole fan since I was 7 years old and that is a lot of years ago, so that is probably the main thing.  It is also the fun of watching a young team get better, and just being out at the ball park.

Support the O's is the only answer for me.  I think the only other thing that applies from the list above is that once my son got into collecting bobbleheads and he wanted the O-day Wan Kenobi one.  Which to be fair was pretty cool.  So we went for that.  But none of the other things listed above have ever been a consideration for me, I just like to go because I'm a fan.

Promotions, nice weather, heady pitching matchups etc are all a bonus. Getting out to support the O’s is the main motivation. I fiend for it. If it were practical, I’d go to all 81 + playoffs.

Opportunity is the biggest driver now.  Think I've been to one game in the past 4 seasons after having a partial plan for like a decade before that.

In thinking about it you left out one of the major and obvious answers. That the team is winning.

The quality of the team is definitely directly correlated to how high of a priority getting to games is.

Promotion is the main one that'd incentivize me to go a game that wasn't on my radar, bobbleheads are always cool to acquire and you can only get them for that particular night

Supporting the O's is #1, but there have been certain promotions and some matchups that drove choice of games in the past. But, how many Hawaiian shirts are too many? Anybody want to but a Tejada bobblehead? 😄

When the day comes that I am willing to spend money on the Orioles again, it will be to support the team. That said, I am mostly checked out on caring as long as an Angelos is still an owner. The good start hasn't moved the needle, the damage from NOT TRYING for 4 years is permanent for me. Tis what it tis...

I was never one to buy tickets based on the opponent. If I go it is to root for the Orioles, no matter who the opponent is that day.

My friends and I split a 13 game plan. Knowing well in advance the dates allows us to lock in times when we can hang out and watch a game — we wouldn’t be able to do this on a whim with everyone’s busy schedules.

I've moved away from Baltimore, so I can't offer a current reason. But when the team was bad, my main reason for going was the venue. OPACY is a great ballpark.

I've been to maybe 10 games in the last three years. I usually pop in when Means is pitching. This season it will be GROD and I don't believe he's had a home start yet unless I missed it being distracted by the Lamar drama.

He had a Tuesday start vs Oakland and a Sunday start vs Detroit lol

Well it's all over now, so maybe I can give the O's some attention now until this rotation gets exposed.
