Does Santander have options?

Yes, but he's got enough service time that he can refuse the option and become a FA (5 years).

It's going to get really interesting really soon. Cowser is on verge of MLB promotion. Hays is playing well and Mullins isn't going anywhere. Stowers, McKenna likely to be in the mix. Santander needs to produce soon.

Frazier should never see the OF again.

I never had friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?

I have to accept the extreme streakiness and deal with it. I still prefer an upgrade ideally as I see us as a tier 1 caliber team but for now it is what it is. He has a place.

I prefer an upgrade next year too but the question becomes upgrade over whom? Would you keep Santander and have him as the 4th OFer and sometimes DH (and would he be ok with that role) and release McKenna? I think there is room for one of them on the roster (depending of course on what we see the rest of this year from others) but not both.

Just for some context on how streaky he's been: .794 OPS this year with one 10-game stretch of a .371 OPS and one 10-game stretch of a 1.225 OPS

This is typically what you have with a .250-.260 hitter - streaks,  As long as he hits 25-30 hrs the O's have a very valuable player - switch-hitting power hitters are rare.  His D has been very good too.

Very good defense? Eh. Agree to disagree.

I think we have to separate his LF and RF defense.

He generally has looked bad in LF, but he generally looks good in RF.

Hes not a good RF. He plays RF well enough in OPACY. Thats about all you can say positive.

Santander sucks, but he is leading MLB in hits in May.  So there's that.

It's early, small sample size, yadda yadda, but he is +2 OAA in right field this year.
