Brach is a good comp for Cano. Or young Givens either.

Lucas has been impressive but he’ll be 27 this year and was sitting 88-89 with the fastball when I saw him in Aberdeen a few years ago. I know he’s ticked up since then. Good off speed stuff.

Vespi is the obvious next guy up in AAA. Then Bazardo. He has really good stuff but struggled last year coming back from injury. Fully healthy now I think he could be a dude. Reed Garrett is interesting, I know he impressed early in spring despite poor results.

I think Vespi is going to get his shot, but it feels like the team does not believe in him.  He probably should have been up in Perez's spot a couple of weeks ago.

The Tate and Givens injuries and the starters not getting through the 5th consistently have really hurt.

The way you guys were talking up Lucas a few weeks ago I thought he was more mid 90s

I actually believe he has touched mid-90's of late its just funny to me that when I saw him in 2021 he was a soft tossing lefty that didn't impress me. He's come a long way. And honestly not worried about age as much with pure reliever prospects.

It's not all about the stats on the back of a baseball card. Ask Mike Elias.

Proposal: instead of Mr. Splash spraying upwards and lightly sprinkling the whole section, he tilts the fire hose down, absolutely pummeling a single fan one row in front of him.

Proposal: Get rid of Mr. Splash.

Pretty embarassing to be spraying fans when your down 8-1 in the 8th inning and someone doubles with two outs.

If the fans are enjoying it, let it ride.

I get the argument that you should not be carrying on in the dugout when you are getting blasted, but the fans pay to sit there.  Let them have their fun.

I doubt it continues after this year. Its like the chain in 2022. A new yearly thing. Its not for me but if there is enough fans still into it then by all means. Are they selling those tickets for extra money or same price as other seats in that area.

I doubt they charge more, but I can't deny its success.

Especially if the kids are out there enjoying it. I consider college age kids too. IMO its smart for the Os management to jump in on and support what the players are doing and involving the fans. Think they lacked in that area for a lot of years.

I consider college age as kids. I don't like it, but I get it. (My 22 year old son likes it.) I bet the ticket brokers are getting more for tickets sold in that section.

If people are enjoying it they should keep it. If people are meh about it they should drop it. I personally wouldn't care for it so I wouldn't sit there, but I can see it being fun, especially for folks who don't really go to games or follow the team much, it's just a neat thing that happens when the team does something good and keeps people engaged. I could see my kids who are 7 and 6 enjoying it cause they wouldn't care much about the actual game, but that's a fun thing that happens when something good happens.

I don't have a problem with it.  Seems like harmless fun.  At least people are back in the Park enjoying the Orioles and baseball again.
