Excited for the game so made the thread, even included Chris' preferred ESPN links!

What are they gonna do against a lefty?  I'm very curious to see if they jump straight into platooning Cedric or if he's gonna be given some run early this year to see if he can bounce back like in 2021.  I hope he plays.

Also Rutschman...no off-day until Friday so would expect that he only catches one of today or tomorrow.  Does he get today off or at DH against the lefty instead of tomorrow when its a righty?

Not sure what'll happen but I'd go:

CF Mullins

DH Rutschman

RF Santander

1B Mountcastle

2B Urias

3B Henderson

LF McKenna

C  Benboom

SS Mateo

I know LF is much easier than RF in Fenway, but I think Santander has a bit of a mental hurdle in LF that he doesn't have in RF.  I'd put him back in right even though its a larger area to cover and McKenna has much better range.

If Rutschman catches, then Santander to DH and Stowers enters the lineup.  Might even play Stowers over McKenna anyways, he doesn't have huge lefty splits, but don't love the idea of both Stowers and Santander in the field, especially with Kremer a more flyball heavy guy.

At least Santander is DHing.  That was a brutal display of defense in left field opening day.

I'd go Urias at 2B, Mateo at SS, Henderson at 3B.

I said this the other day, figure out where you want Henderson for his career, put him there, and move everybody else around. If it is 3rd, so be it.

Urias has never started at leadoff before so we're on game 2 already trying unique lineups lol

We should see pinch hit appearances from Frazier, Stowers, maybe Vavra at some point if necessary.

Would seem Frazier may not start vs most LHP. We will see but this could be telling. Love the Defense today. Kinda surprised Hays is in RF but does have the best arm

Hays needs to hit the ball today. Not sure why McKenna is even on the roster.

Because hes the best OF defender and underrated as a hitter. Though clearly not a reg. Hes a legit ML 4th OFer

Hays in RF for the arm I guess? McKenna has more range.
