I think I'm the only person on the planet who feels like acquiring Hopkins is a bad move. He's in his early 30s, has had injury issues lately, and is expensive. Having two older, slower, past-their-prime receivers as your top options sounds like a bad move.
Either way, I just want this fiasco over. If they sign Lamar, fine. If he's traded, fine. Just get it over with.
If the Cards eat some of the Hopkins cap space, it’s fine. If not, I’m skeptical because what are you giving up while also taking on the salary.
Hopkins feels like a much better bet than OBJ. But you are giving up something to get him where as OBJ just costs money.
I tell you what though. If Hopkins is acquired, then the Ravens have met Lamar’s personnel demands. It’s time for him to meet the Ravens financial demands, and sign the tender, or if an extension is back on the table, It better be team friendly.
I’m not big on the Ravens throwing away money and picks on 2 big question marks to appease their QB who isn’t under contract, and him remaining not under contract.
