Would not be excited about playing Boise St at all. Very good team.

Kentucky we can beat. Wouldn’t mind that at all.

Ill take my chances vs the inferior talent in Boise vs Kentucky. I would not be sad to see a non high major team with less talent like Boise in Round 1

Boise St is better by every metric. Except reputation.

At least with Kentucky there’s a better than decent chance they don’t show up. But yeah, could certainly lose to them too.

Thats fair. No problem saying Boise has been better or is the better team. Ill take my chances against the lesser talent

If we're choosing between Boise State and Kentucky, give me the Wildcats all day every day. Boise State's strength is their defense, Kentucky's is their offense. I feel much more confident in Maryland's defense than their offense, so that's the better matchup on paper.

Boise easier to handle.

Kentucky could come out and if they’re firing on all cylinders hit you in the mouth and it’s ball game. They’ve beaten Tennessee twice.

Gimme Boise

I think if we can win 3 of 4 we can get locked into a 7. Show up in Chicago and a 6 or even 5 is possible.

Yup its game over for sure if Kentucky brings the A game. Nothing MD would be able to do

I would take Boise over Kentucky as well. Throw out all the numbers and seeding come tourney time. North Carolina last year is a prime example.

The good coaches and good schools show up under the bright lights. Kentucky, Carolina, Michigan State, Syracuse, all I recall making Final Four runs as 7 seeds or worse.

I'll be thrilled with the season if they get in and just play a smart game.  Not 40 minutes of individual play and hero ball, but 40 minutes of teamwork.  Whatever happens in that regard, so be it.  Frankly that's been my take with even most of the games they've lost this year... sure, shooting can be a killer at times, and brief moments when they lose focus on playing as a whole 5 instead of 5 singles... but overall it's been a very enjoyable TEAM to watch this year.

This is great to be able to debate btw. God last year was just brutal. And I honestly didn’t think we’d be back this year. Such a pleasant surprise.

Whoever we play will be tough. Boise St is very consistent. Mountain West very underrated. Love that team, MD would have to show up, but if they did they’re better. Good point about the Kentucky A game. It rarely shows up, but it’s in them. Fair enough.

Btw, I get it with Cal, he’s got the reputation. Leon Rice is absolutely an upper echelon basketball coach. Don’t sleep on Boise St.

Lunardi still has them as a 7, while Indiana is a 4 and NW is a 6, can someone explain that one to me.
