So there’s your signature win. Now go get the double-bye.
What Kevin Willard has done in his first year here is so impressive.
Can't wait until he gets his guys here.
And not to dance on Mark Turgeon's proverbial grave but the product under Willard is just miles better than it was under Turgeon.

How long has it been since we've seen a Maryland team improve as the year went on?
It's basically all I've wanted to see for years. Have always admired Izzo for how his squads usually finish their seasons. Would be cool if that's the Willard story going forward too...

Too long. And it makes me wonder what it was that made them fade down the stretch so frequently in the past, but obviously there was always one common denominator.
I really thought this team would fade too, but primarily due to the lack of depth, and I guess they still could. But the remaining schedule is sure favorable. Just NW looks tough and it's in CP. Knock on wood, but it's reached the point where you start thinking about seeding instead of bubbles.

Expected guys had big games, but Emilien and Martinez really made some big contributions when things were at risk of getting out of hand in the wrong direction early on.

It’s sort of an indirect statement re: how far the program had fallen that the fans rushed the court, but holding that 7’4”, 300 lb behemoth to only 50% shooting (career 63.1%) has to be considered a job well done.
Agree also that this was their signature win.

Not only that he seemed disinterested at times in that second half barrage. I think Reese stole an easy offensive board from him. Was slow on defense too. MD guys drove right past him to the rim a couple times. He looked worse than Alex Len out there.

He’s a fine college player, and can dominate at times against less physical opponents. But will have no NBA career to speak of.
