Defense was great — insofar as you can tell against a team this bad.
Yes, the Gophers are terrible, but Maryland took any risk or drama out of the game immediately. It was over very early and that is what good teams need to do when they are playing weak teams. I am not sure how good Maryland is, but they seem to be getting better as the season goes on, which has not happened that often the last decade.
