Ha, forgot a specification was necessary. The Virginia Tech assistant. Former DeMatha head coach, not current.
Which one?

That's what I figured. Though IIRC the current one has roots in Alexandria, which was Dickinson's hometown.

Mike Jones is a top candidate to replace Skinn on Willard’s staff. That would obviously only increase the chances Dickinson chooses Maryland, given the DeMatha connections.
Jones has officially been hired by Willard. This is a huge addition, as he'll bring the same sort of local recruiting star power that Skinn did.

I mean, there's no way Hunter Dickinson can come here after all that's went down, right? Right?

Mike Mussina and Johnny Damon went to the Yankees...

Dickinson with Reese and Young is a National contender... but man, that is hard to picture.
Obviously Young and Dickinson have a relationship.
Seems like MD would be setting themselves up for the ultimate troll job to go and tell Dickinson how much they want him.
Of course if you are Willard, the pitch is pretty simple...
- I wasn't here, of course I want you...
- You get to return home, and play with Young...
- With you; Reese + Young, and our incoming class.... that's a team that can have real aspirations.

How often do guys transfer within the conference. It can happen and probably has happened but if Dickinson left Mich on good terms that wouldnt go over well there. A kick in the balls on the way out the door.
All the time now.

Yeah, schools used to be able to limit that and guys had to sit out a year if within the same conference. Not the case now. At least some conferences like the SEC have eliminated that rule.

Miller Kopp did 3 years as a starter at NW and then went right straight to IU for two years

Not sure if it was all conferences, but I think the ACC used to make you sit TWO years to transfer in conference. So it never happened during that time.

Sulaimon was a weird situation, but he transferred to Maryland from Duke when both teams were still in the ACC.
Nevermind, that was the year MD switched conferences, so not an intra-conference transfer
