Agreed. The one thing I'll add, more to the general you than just you, is I think many think we're looking for an All-Star team.

I haven't seen one post from anyone that suggests that opinion is prevalent on any O's thread.

Good, I suspect the only reason the Orioles have interest in Hosmer is that, he is basically free.  Let the Cubs have him and find someone who can impact the lineup.
