Major league offseason notwithstanding, next year's minor league season is going to be so much fun.

Bob, great job! We have a similar passion about the minors and prospects. I'm going to add my two cents and, accounting for inflation, that's about what it's worth.

I think Daz Cameron is going to start in Norfolk. There's no doubt there's talent there. I doubt that both Franchy Cordero and Nomar Mazzara make it to Norfolk. I would not be surprised if one or the other has an opt out if they don't make the big team. Cordero, IMO, has the better chance of sticking on the Orioles.

On Aberdeen, I see Carter Young instead of Crampton in the middle IF. My biggest disagreement would be in the starting rotation. I see Chace and Deivy Cruz repeating Delmarva. I also think Aron Estrada has a solid chance to skip FCL and start at 2B in Delmarva. I think Stiven Acevedo is a starter as well.

They might go back to 2 FCL teams this year. We have enough position players to do it. If there's only one FCL team, here's my starting lineup.

LF Mata
SS Arias
2B Amparo
CF Taveraa
RF Ramos
3B Benavides
C Bucce
1B Cuevas
DH Lara

Alfredo Velasquez getting a lot of AB's rotating in the infield.

They won't give up on Maikol Hernandez but I don't have an idea how he fits in. Sosa, unfortunately, has a Wilmer Feliciano, Luis Gonzalez vibe. Like Feliciano, I think he repeats DSL unless there are 2 FCL teams like we had in 2021. They could field one team of 18 year olds. The #2 team could be called the "Last Chance FCL Orioles"

SS Maikol Hernandez
1B Luis Gonzalez
LF Lara
3B Tejada
C. Carlos Rodriguez
CF Kevin Guerrero
DH Sosa
2B Victor Gonzalez
RF Vicioso

P.S. I hope Lewin Diaz is at 1B for Norfolk. I like his upside. However, he's out of options so he's gotta pass through waivers to get there.

Good stuff. Bob, what exactly do you mean by Mayo having a chance to be 2023’s version of Gunnar? A late season MLB call up? Or just overall talent/development?

Both honestly. He's a sleeping giant.

He was in the ESPN Top 50 in August.
If he goes and lights things up the first two months, he'll be way up on lists no doubt.

Slugging nearly .500 at Aberdeen doesn't seem like an easy feat, especially for a 20 year old. He'll be 21 all next year and should do some damage at Bowie after his taste of AA at the end of 2022.

Shouldnt put Henderson on Mayo. It makes people think he can jump up to being a Top 5 prospect. While that isnt impossible its unrealistic

Not expecting it at all. But he’s capable of it.

Expected AAA rotation:

Tonight: Grayson Rodriguez
Sat: Bruce Zimmermann
Sun: Spenser Watkins
Tues: DL Hall
Wed: Drew Rom

Tides have other length pitchers that could even piggyback if needed in Ryan Watson, Chris Vallimont & Noah Denoyer.
