Love this quote from JKD about getting caught on the breakaway run against Pittsburgh. He’s a blue chip type guy.

I saw that he still hit over 20 MPH on that run and clearly wasn't 100%. I think next year he'll be good again.

His breakaway speed is noticeably slower but his burst through a hole is solid and that's what I'm more interested in at this point of his recovery. I'd rather he consistently rumble for 5-10 yards than worry about him going to the house. Both him and Edwards will be much stronger next year if they don't reinjure themselves. Stanley too.

His burst and his lateral agility looked to be 100% back. The long speed will follow. He looked like he was laboring a bit after 30 yards. Those muscles haven't been opened up in over a year though, so it would make sense.

JKD and Edwards remaining healthy could make a huge difference.

JK said as much when he talked to the reporters.  He clearly does not have all his conditioning back, but he was cutting and hitting holes very well on Sunday.  He was greatly improved from the beginning of the year.

Should be noted too that Pittsburgh fixed their run D from years past - they were top 7 in run D going into last week. Baltimore knocked them down to 15th. That was a great performance from the line and the backs. This does tend to happen when Ronnie is out there, but it's easy to see how special a player JKD could be if it all clicks at the right time.
