Post-flip to Proche... note that Robinson has basically run a go route down the numbers... the other side of the field is empty, no receiving targets over there at all.  Proche, Ricard, Duvernay are out of the equation as possible targets.  Huntley doesn't even fake running a route to sort of replace Proche as a receiving option.

At the point Proche releases the ball, you have SEVEN Broncos DBs tasked with covering / worrying about TWO Ravens receiving options.  And both of them wind up on the SAME SIDE of the field, running straight go routes, heading for the endzone.  Nobody flares out of the backfield, nothing underneath of in the middle to try to pull a safety up, whatever...

 

31 actually keeps his body turned to the inside for about half the play, with Robinson slightly to his outside shoulder.  If Robinson turns in and cuts across, while I won't say it's guaranteed, I think 31 probably breaks with him because there was a huge area of the field WIDE OPEN.  Instead, Robinson runs straight past him and stays outside, at which point 31 turns his hips and bails.  He's then able to help and get the INT because Robinson's route basically helped PULL HIM TO THE PLAY.

 

This is a perfect example to me why the narrative that Roman can't scheme a passing game effectively / consistently carries a LOT of weight.  "Trick" plays are usually more effective when there's misdirection AND some false flags out there the catch the eyes of a defender, thus opening up more free space for the target.  When you line up with 5 potential targets, and then in the course of execution have 2 at the point you're asking your non-QB to throw the ball about 35-40 yards downfield on time for a TD (to a RB by the way, who isn't as experienced with fighting for a pass or turning in to a DB)... something is FUNDAMENTALLY, and SELF-DESTRUCTIVELY (sure, that's a word) wrong with your decisions.
