I liked the hire but I thought it was more of a double rather than a home run, and I definitely was concerned that he didn't play a great tempo in Seton Hall. He's basically making me look like an idiot with that.

Looks like a completely different team than what’s been out there in the past. It looked like once Dainja started throwing his weight around is when Illinois crept back in. There are going to be physical games all year long in this conference. Hope they remain tough.

There you go. No matter what happens the next two games, fill the damn joint when UCLA comes to town on the 14th and give them the same dose that you gave Illinois. All starts with protecting the house.

Doubt it. He wasn't replacing someone we were happy to see go. He had giant shoes to fill. Was it his first season that they beat Duke at home? Maybe that was the high point. Or I think first year in the Big Ten they beat Izzo twice.

There were several big moments like this in the Turgeon era. Just go back and look at Melo Trimble highlights. Turgeon's problem was they never won games like that in March, and after a while it's hard to get excited over a team you believe will ultimately fizzle out when it really matters.
